One Bread, One Body - Reflection for September 13, 2007

"MANY HAPPY RETURNS"

"The measure you measure with will be measured back to you." –Luke 6:38

Jesus indicates in today's Gospel that your future fortunes are really up to you. Your actions in this life resemble throwing a boomerang: it will return right back to you the way you let it go. Consider the following promises:

God has granted us an amazing freedom to determine our eternal, and earthly, destiny by our choices and actions. Each action and reaction has eternal ramifications. Therefore, repent now. May you have many happy returns!

PRAYER: Father, have it Your way.
PROMISE: "You are God's chosen ones, holy and beloved." –Col 3:12
PRAISE: St. John Chrysostom sowed the gospel unsparingly and reaped a great harvest of souls.
